A Father Who Never Knew He Had a Daughter
A man lives his life never suspecting he fathered a child. The truth arrives late, delivered by an elderly woman who is the girl’s grandmother and who is nearing death. Her request is for him to take responsibility for the young adult she has been raising, a daughter he never met who is about to be left without a guardian.
He refuses. The grandmother will not accept that answer and engineers a plan to force the two of them together, determined to create a bond he has no interest in forming.
Friction, Doubt, and a Forbidden Pull
His daughter is pretty and intelligent, but she carries a stubborn streak and a spoiled edge that immediately clash with the protagonist’s temperament. He dislikes her attitude from the outset. She is not the compliant child he might have imagined, and he is not the eager father she never had.
Meeting her does not settle his doubts. He still questions whether he should take her in at all. Yet the grandmother’s scheming keeps pressing them toward each other, and what begins as reluctant obligation slowly tilts toward the incestuous relationship at the heart of the story.
Lost Freedom is a linear visual novel with no branching choices, so the narrative moves in one set direction. Three secondary characters add their own storylines alongside the central father-daughter arc, broadening the cast and the emotional landscape around the main plot.
